Weddings
Do you have to get married in church? There are many options!
Of course you do not have to get married in church. A civil, or registrar, ceremony is a non-religious legal marriage ceremony performed by a government official or functionary, and you can arrange a wedding somewhere else than in the church, even if you want a priest to officiate the ceremony
All weddings are unique and beautiful
Regardless of where and how you get married, it is always a beautiful thing. The simplest weddings are sometimes the most emotional, and something simple can sometimes really emphasize what is important about the ceremony, the wonderful great love you have found.
Others choose to celebrate weddings with pompous ceremonies and sumptuous parties that no one forgets. If you want to, and if you can afford to do that, it’s of course also okay.
Everything is a matter of taste, just like when choosing wedding rings. Not everyone believes that the most expensive things are finest; it should have a true meaning as well.
If you want a priest to officiate the wedding in a different place from the church, you must contact the congregation where you live, or where you want to get married, and thus find out which options exist.
Outside the ecclesiastical and religious ceremonies, there are a thousand fine alternatives that many who do not feel they have any special feelings for the church, a religion or a particular faith, choose instead.
Apart from the bureaucratic details required to legally register a marriage, there are no rules that determine how a ceremony where one chooses to promise eternal love to each other should be. You can give the promise in a desert, in a park, on a beach or on the top of a mountain when it is snowing. Fantasy has no limits.
The promise is the important thing. Promised is promised, forever. It doesn’t matter if you don’t want to do it in church. Love is strong, and you need no more than a completely honest promise, and okay, maybe also a little paperwork to get the unique cordial promise registered.
The symbol of eternally promised love is always a ring, regardless of your religion, country or the place you choose for your wedding. That’s what we do: Rings of Sweden.
Can you imagine a wedding somewhere else then in a church?
Is there a special place where you would like to get married?
