Engagement rings – Trends 2020
Romantic and unforgettable, that is how your engagement should be. There are many ways, and different occasions, to get engaged, but all of them have something in common: The engagement rings!
The engagement ring will always be the reminder of that special day when you got engaged, a memory for life.
In the past, there were very definite opinions about what an engagement ring should look like. Today you can choose without limits, and the ring is not something you only wear on special occasions. The important thing is to find a ring that suits your style, and that you can wear every day. Below you can read about what’s trendy right now, and see some of our finest rings.
Diamonds are forever
Diamond rings are the most traditional engagement rings. Solitaire rings, side stone rings and halo rings are back as very trendy thanks to their timeless design, eternal meaning and many different options.
Thin and elegant diamond rings
One of the new trends in recent seasons is jewellery with minimalistic lines and simple patterns. This is a trend that is also reflected in very thin engagement rings, i.e. with widths between 1.5 and 1.7 mm. Whether it is a ring with diamonds or patterns, these rings are very discreet and incredibly elegant. Also, you can “build on” and carry several rings from the same collection together, ring stacking. Our newest ring collection DELICATE consists of beautiful rings, with and without diamonds, that are perfect to be combined or worn one by one.
Halo engagement rings
Halo rings are very trendy when it comes to engagement rings with diamonds. The halo rings are very feminine and romantic, and a little extra eye-catching. A slightly larger diamond (or other stone) surrounded by a row, or “halo”, of smaller stones, gives much more light and shine to the final design. The impression one gets is that the centre stone is very large.
Vintage Rings
Vintage rings will always survive fashion trends and time. Antique rings that are inherited have an added value; the symbolic and emotional significance. This season, the romantic era of the early 1900s is the one that dominates when it comes to vintage engagement rings. The inspiration is from Belle Époque and Art Deco. If you are looking for a ring in that style you can take a look at our side stone rings. They are classic diamond rings that will remain in your family for many generations.
Engagement rings in rosé gold
Gold is available in several colours. White, yellow, red, pink and black. Pink and black gold are very trendy right now and combine well with diamonds. Yellow and red gold are not often used in diamond rings as they do not accentuate the transparency of the stone in the same way. Rosé gold is romantic and feminine, and also very easy to combine. It fits well with everything. See our gold rings here
Carbon fibre rings – Something out of the ordinary
Carbon fibre rings have nothing to do with classic engagement rings. They are trendy and modern, yet very elegant and classy. Carbon fibre is available in black and white. The contrast between the colours when combined with Damascus steel, rosé or yellow gold makes the rings unique. Carbon fibre rings with diamonds fit equally well on both men and women and they are very durable.
