Weddings
Wedding traditions. Who pays what at a wedding?
A common question when planning a wedding is who pays what? Do the bride and groom pay for everything? Does each family take care of their share of the expenses, is the cost shared equally, or do we follow the tradition? In most cultures, the brides’ father traditionally paid for the entire arrangement, except for the wedding rings and the grooms’ attire because the family married off the daughter.
But who pays for the wedding today?
Today nobody takes for granted that the family of the bride will pay for everything. And one does not marry off a daughter anymore. It is also easy to understand that the wedding rings no longer must be traditional plain gold rings.
Today there are so many alternatives, and you can choose between many materials, colours and ring designs. There also are several ways to allocate wedding costs if your families offer to help.
CLASSIC 8MM DIAMOND MATTE – TRADITIONAL SLIGHT COURT GOLD RING

How much does a wedding cost?
Dreaming about your wedding is easy, but planning it is much more difficult. If the families are involved and pay, the question is: How much can you spend? Having a budget is essential, even if you are to pay for everything yourself. The reality is that the wedding cost can skyrocket if you start adding details. One example, if the bride chooses several girlfriends as bridesmaids or flower girls, it is customary for her to choose and pay for their attire.

We pay for everything ourselves.
Today, it is most common for the couple to get married to be financially independent and pay for the wedding themselves. It is even more common if it’s not the first time that one, or both, are getting married.
In that way, the bride and groom have absolute freedom to choose everything from attire to flower arrangements without having to consult with the family and take into account the opinions of others. Often the bride’s parents offer to pay for the wedding dress and the groom’s family to pay for the wedding rings.
SNOWFLAKE – A DISCREET SOLITAIRE RING
Snowflake is a discreet solitaire ring in 18K gold with a brilliant-cut 0.20 ct G-vs diamond (3.08 mm). The diamond is held in place by four twisted claws. Choose between yellow gold, rose gold, white gold or platinum 950. https://www.ringsofsweden.com/en/rings/rings-of-sweden-collection-en/solitaire-rings/snowflake
Divide costs equally
Another option is for both families to contribute a similar part or decide what they want to pay. Other couples prefer that each family take care of the expenses their guests generate. The rest of the usual expenses, such as flowers, music or decoration, are shared equally. It is a good solution, especially when one family is significantly larger than the other.

How much do wedding rings cost?
There is no answer to that question. A wedding ring can cost as little or as much as you like. Of course, the wedding ring is symbolic. But since you have it for the rest of your life, you want it to be as beautiful as possible. The material of the wedding rings affects the price a lot, so it is worth looking through all our collections first and then focusing on the wedding rings you like. Those that also have the price tag you have in mind.
